Not wanting to have a generic class picture (which I have, by the way, care of the school's official photographer), I decided i wanted to take my own. Class pictures are stiff and unnatural especially for a class of preschoolers. Asking these 4-year olds to stand up straight, put their hands on their sides and smile is a tall order. With this shot, they were relaxed and a little bit curious as to how it must feel like lying down on the floor to get a picture taken. This curiousity and excitement to try out something new worked to my advantage. I wanted to show the colors and life that each child brings to the classroom. I believe these pictures showcase just that.
